STATUS

Cultural Initiative

01 OVERVIEW

Food was simply the beginning.

A Taste of Saudi Arabia was conceived on the belief that every traditional dish opens the door to something much greater: the landscapes, artisans, heritage sites, stories, and communities that define a nation.

Originally developed to support Saudi Arabia's emerging food industries, the project evolved into a much broader vision for documenting the Kingdom's cultural heritage through film, writing, photography, and immersive storytelling.

02 CULTURAL INSIGHT

Heritage lives beyond the plate.

Designed to align with the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030, the initiative proposed a journey across the Kingdom to preserve living heritage while introducing international audiences to Saudi Arabia through its hospitality, craftsmanship, regional cuisines, and cultural traditions.

Food became the doorway into understanding a nation rather than the destination itself.

03 STRATEGY & STORYTELLING

A vision for cultural storytelling.

Through documentary storytelling, photography, interviews, and editorial writing, the project sought to capture the people, places, and traditions that define Saudi Arabia's cultural landscape.

While the original concept was not developed to its full scope, the vision continues to reflect Yvonne’s belief that cultural heritage can be a powerful tool for strengthening international relationships, fostering tourism, and building understanding between nations.
